I am probably intermediate in French. I have a basic knowledge of grammar (but still need instruction) and I can speak reasonably well at a simple level. I want to really learn this language - both the grammar and the speaking skill simply so that I will master something I have already invested time and effort into. I admire French culture and language and want to experience both with a native French speaker at least twice a week.

I am a complete beginner. My boyfriend's family is ethnic Albanian (Montenegro region) and I would like to be able to speak and understand at family events, etc. I am more concerned with conversationa l skills than written fluency, however based on past experience learning other languages, the two tend to go together for me. I work long/unpredic table hours during the week and therefore would need to have lessons on Saturday mornings. I am looking for an actual teacher (not someone who merely speaks the language) who builds his or her lessons on fundamentals (i.e. grammar, verb conjugation) and who will be willing to meet me in Manhattan for lessons.
