Hi, i am an beginner speaker wanting to learn korean, because next summer '09. I'm hoping to go to Korea. Um, right now i know little korean, like 'hi, bye, nice to meet you' ha, due to korean dramas. I'm willing to deticate my weekends and afternoons probably around 5? I still have school.. I want a teacher that is kind and willing to work with me through out it all, because i'm pretty slow.. ha.

I would like to learn how to sing Korean songs. I saw a movie about Trot music called 'Hyway Star'. I just loved the music they were singing. I have also been watching KBC talent shows and shows that feature lots of singers and would love to learn to sing enough Korean songs to put a show together for myself. I am a singer of 60 years old and have sung lots of different styles. Opera, R&B, Pop, alternative, Jazz, Classical, and I write too. So could you direct me to a teacher who could help me accomplish my goal if you do not handle this field? Thank you very much.

I am an absolute beginner in Korean who is highly motivated to learn the language. My reasons for wanting to speak and read Korean are not job-related. On the contrary, I want to learn simply for my own enrichment, because I love the culture and have the desire to further my understanding of it. My teacher should be comfortable working with beginners and be prepared to challenge me, as I will certainly challenge them with my questions and my drive to achieve a thorough understanding of Korean culture via mastery of the culture's language. I would also enjoy for the teacher-stude nt relationship to be reciprocal; that is, I can offer the knowledge that comes with my proficiency in the English language to my teacher in return for his/her services. Of course, that is in addition to the monetary compensation that I will offer to the teacher that is the best fit for the job.
