My family came from Slovakia 3 generations ago. No one speaks Slovak anymore. I am going to Slovakia next year to meet my distant cousins. I would like to know at least a little Slovak when I go over. I have lots of reading material in Slovak to help me learn, but I don't know the proper pronunciation , and I don't want to start off learning wrong. I am very busy, but have a flexible schedule. I would prefer t learn in person, but doubt I will find someone locally. So, if you would teach via videa chat (like Skype) that would be great. Thank you.

My husband and his entire family are Slovakian. All except my husband and his sister still live in Slovakia. His first language is Slovak, however his work requires long hours so he is unable to teach me in any real form. I know approximately 20 words total. I might go to a language school in Bratislava in a few months, but I would like to try other routes first, or in addition to the schooling.

Hello!I'm Joy Campos and I really want to learn Slovak language.I have a boyfreind Slovakian and were planning to get marry next year!He can speak English of coarse but after our marriage I'm planning to migrate to his country!His parent leave with him and they count speak English at all that's why I want to learn how to speak not only to his parent of coarse,just because that's the language to their country!It's more convenient also for me to find a job if I can speak Slovakian!I'm available to study every sun. which is my day off at least 5-6 hrs.!I'm expecting to my lesson to focuse more in conversation! I'm expecting to my teacher that he or she have more patience,cool ,smart and of coarse he must need to make it sure after our lesson that the hour that we've been together I've learn something from them
