I want to learn another language and I chose Norwegian because of my ancestors. I realize the difficulty of the language, but feel that learning it would make me feel closer to those long past relatives.

I have always wanted to learn japanese, I am a big fan of anything japanese and have been collecting anime and manga since I was twelve. I now have to chance to go to japan by april or may of next year for certain and I hope to learn enough of the japanese language to speak and understand anyone I'm talking to. I just wish to learn the language, the writing such as katakana and kanji I would prefer to learn another time. I am a beginner but I can pronouce any japanese word I see when it's written in english, and know a few words by heart. A quality that I am looking for in my teacher would be that they have patient with me and help me to achieve my goal. As for time needed I wouldn't know how much time I need until my level can really be assessed.

I plan to visit Japan next year. I bought, about 4 months, some japanese books. Now I decided to really be strong in my studies.I need improve in grammar, conversation and whatever the teacher has to give for my improvement. I want to dedicate at least 3 hours a day.
