Hello. I am definitely a beginning portuguese student. I'm going to brazil on the 21st of April and I'd like to be as proficient as possible in conversationa l portuguese. I lived in serbia for six years as a young kid and spoke fluently. When i got back to the states slowly but surely I forgot the language. Now i speak very little. I am re learning because i plan to travel back to serbia. I need improvent in pretty much all the areas my accent is not bad though. I would like to take a hour long class a few times a week. The qualities i am looking for in a teacher are pretty much just a good teacher.

Ellisande is essentially a complete beginner at Thai, having picked up no more than he could in a week of vacation. He is looking at beginning classes either Spring or Summer 2006.
In the short run, he desires to learn (in order of priority):
a ) Enough language and associated culture in order to properly show gratitude
b) Tones, which will be his biggest stumbling block
In the longer run, he wishes to (also in order of priority):
a ) Become conversationa lly competent
b) Improve his reading skills.
