I was born here in Canada but my parents are Portuguese and Italian. When I was in elementary I took both language classes to learn but I never stuck with it. I am 22 years old. I know more Portuguese then I do Italian. I understand alot of Portuguese but I dont know how to speak. I want to learn. Also I have a boyfriend for a year and a half and his family only speak Portuguese. I want to learn to comunicate with them. Im tired of aksing people, 'what did she say,' or 'what he say.' Thank you.

My first language is Arabic, and I've been speaking English since I was 3 years old. I just got married, and I need to learn Spanish to communicate with my new family (my husband speaks Spanish). I am very beginner, which I took a class of 20 people to learn Spanish, but it really wasn't enough and I lost interest due to the lack of attention I need when learning.
I would like to learn as fast as possible, however, I'm not sure how much time I can dedicate, as well as how much of my income I can give up.
I would like one-on-one instruction.

I was born in Chile and spanish was my first language until I moved to Canada at the age of four. Growing up in Canada I was not made to practice my spanish so as a result I have lost much of the vocabulary and grammar at my current age 37. I can understand quite a lot of what I hear if it is Latin spanish and spoken slowly and clearly. I plan to visit family in Chile next year and really need to regain a better proficiency in the language again. I need particular help in regaining basic vocabulary and grammar. I will apply myself to these studies and practice daily but it will be difficult for me to travel to a school, therefore Internet, email, phone delivery is more realistic for my situation. I would like a teacher who recognizes that I have a basic foundation of the language already and can help me find the smoothest path to being able to regain a level of conversationa l spanish again. My goal date for reaching a satisfactory level is March 2007. Thank you.

Beginner. I simply love the country, people, language, and culture. The syrilic alphabet is most confusing to me. I would be prepaired to commit to 2 hours a day. The instructer/te acher will find me to be a quick and enthusiastic learner but at times shy. I need to stress my desire for a teacher here in Victoria, B.C. Canada, NOT over the internet!
