I am looking to learn Vietnamese for my career in the public school system. My proficiency level is beginner, although I have been raised in a Vietnamese household. I understand words and common phrases but have poor vocabulary and pronunciation . I would like to be fluent in conversation and grammar. I am willing to dedicate a couple of hours a week for lessons. In order to be fluent, I understand that it may take many years of lessons and I am committed to it.
A teacher that most suits my personality would be one who is patient and has lots of experience working with American adults. I need to learn professional vocabulary for someone in the psychology and educational field as well as a good vocabulary working with young children.
