I am a fluent English-speak ing American who is about to marry a first-generat ion American from Croatia. His entire family speaks fluent English and Croatian. Him and myself are very interested in passing along Croatian traditions to our children including the language. I'm definitley on my way to learning Croatian cooking basics, religion, etc. However, I have tried for a year to learn the Croatian language from a book/tape, and I am progressing alot slower than I would like to. I think my best means of learning the language would be to have a live teacher. I consider myself to be at the beginner level. I am willing to put in 10-15 hours a week and I am willing to negotiate price. I am looking for a teacher that is fluent in Croatian and is flexible w/meeting times.
