I am a beginner. I am learning Portuguese because I have traveled to the country before and it is a favorite of mine in Europe. I am planning another trip shortly and I would really like to be able to get around there. I primarily need to work on communication /conversation skills. I do need mind much to learn how to write it.
I am finishing a Masters program, which I have waited to learn Portuguese until after I was done with my program.
I would appreciate a teacher who would help me with the accent. I am aware that the Portuguese accent is one of the most difficult.

I have no prior experience in speaking Latvian, but I as I am engaged to a Latvian woman, I would like to have the facility to speak with her and her family in their native tongue. I have no knowledge of the language. I would like to focus on basic conversation, idioms, phonetics, and grammar. I would be willing to dedicate 3 to 5 hours a week for my language lessons. I would prefer my teacher to be a native speaker and I would like to proceeed rapidly.

I am a beginner in the German language and am trying to get ahead this summer before taking college German courses this fall. I am serious regarding learning the German language because I am planning to focus on European history and need to become proficient in the language. This summer the lessons need to be reasonably intensive and I need someone who can teach me more formal German as I am not doing this for tourist purposes. I would very much like to start within the next couple of weeks. I have transportatio n so I can travel to the lessons although I would like to talk to the instructor about possible alternatives.
