I have family who live in Zebbug. I have visited them for a few years now and only know basic vocabulary. I would like to be able to do a beginners course and progree to GCSE or higher standard. I find the language letters difficult and where to use them and how to put sentences together.
I have tried to find a tutor in the UK but there aren't any.

Hello, I am starting to learn Maltese from a CD here in England.
I am originally from Malta but moved to UK as a child. I have family in Malta and return frequently and so thought it about time I learned the language!
My aim is to advance as much and quick as possible this year in order for me to return to Malta permanently early next year.
It is virtually impossible to find a tutor in my area or even in the UK at all and so I have begun on my own although this is difficult.
I plan to make a few trips to Malta this year and thought about having lessons everyday for that week or longer I am there.Natural ly my level is that of a beginner and would need a teacher to begin at that level for me.

1. I want to learn Maltese because, as a child I didn't grow up with my parents therefore never learnt to speak maltese.
2. My work only allows me to be at home 1 week in a month, so i can not go to Night Classes in the traditional way. If I had a teacher on the Gold Coast then I could do Private Lessons the week I am home and by phone or Live Chat. E.g Skpe or FaceTime.
3. I am looking for a teacher who has experience teaching Maltese from beginner to advanced,and who enjoy's
doing so. It would be good if you have a system to follow.
