I recently moved to Addis earlier this month and would love to take some intensive Amharic tutoring. I am living with my fiance who will also join in the tutoring classes. The two of us are working for NGOs and will be here in Ethiopia for at least a year or two. We are both 23 years old and are beginners in Amharic. We live in the Sunshine apartments in Gerji with an older Ethiopian women.
We would be interested in tutoring classes, or small group classes if offered (4-6 students), for 3-4 hours a week and maybe more.
We know the alphabet, how to count and know some common phrases and words but would love to learn more.
Plea se include details on price of tutoring, availability, recommendatio ns from former students and a general description of your teaching style and what resources you might use to help teach us. Any information about group classes is also welcome.

I am studying Amharic because it is a language i feel i should already know. I am native Ethiopian and was born in Canada receiving a western education. I have been teaching myself amharic and have been making good advancements on my own but am having some difficulties with what seems to be called the Relative Clause and the Gerundive. As well i lack and extensive vocabulary. I am quite dedicated to this and would love some tutorial help.
I am looking for a teacher who is dedicated to helping the student understand as well as willing to meet 3 to 4 times a week if not more. But that little to start with. I wish to know the rtes of the teachers so i can make a budget. Thank you.
