I often meet Ethiopians through work. I like their culture and want to learn more, especially, I want to learn the language. I am a fourth year doctoral student at Stanford university, and am working on a dissertation about Ethiopian art. I would like to improve my abilities in Amharic, particularly developing my reading skills. I have taken elementary Amharic and can read the fidel, and know basic grammar structures. I am not very confident about speaking the language, but would like to improve this too!
I am looking to find a tutor willing to meet in person in the Bay Area, once or twice a week ideally up until Christmas (approx 10 weeks).
I' m looking for a teacher who will push me to improve and help me to build confidence in learning this language.
