I would be a beginner at learning the language, but my family is Afrikaans so I have a basic understand of the spoken language. I want to improve in all areas and become fluent. This is for personal reasons, to appreciate my culture/backg round. Once a week for a couple of hours seems reasonable.

I would be a beginner and would like to learn afrikaans, as well as my brother. I/we want to learn it because my fathers family side are all south african and although my dad cant speak it my grandpa and lots of family in south africa do. Also me and my brother think it would be cool since we could talk about whatever and no one else would no what we are talking about.Basical y just learning reading and speaking, but not writing as much, maybe just a little but not as much. I would like to have the lessons in the summer but as soon as possible would be fine, and spending as anything like 10 hrs a week or something, its the summer so it doesnt matter as much. Qualities in a techer are simplely able to speak afrikaans and good english, as well as a good hearted teacher who doesnt mind jokes and a little fooling around.
