I am a complete beginner, i do not know any Vietnamese at all.
I wish to learn because i intend to visit Vietnam, as a tourist, next year and i would like to be prepared.
I' m really only concerned with conversationa l classes, though some familiarity with reading might be helpful.
I would like to take classes once or twice a week, possibly more, closer to my trip.
My lessons should be either one on one or with a very small group.
I would like my teacher to be fully capable of helping me achieve my goal as well as being relatively friendly, and totally approachable.
I would expect my lessons to have some structure, and i am also prepared to spend time outside my class practising and completing homework.

Proficiency level is beginner. The reason why I am interested in learning Vietnamese is to communicate with my girlfriend's paretns. I have no knowledge of this language therefore I will be starting with zero knowledge. I have 3-4 hours available to dedicate to my language lessons.
