I am a member of the Canorient Association, a cultural organization for Christian Indians & Pakistanis. I am interested in arranging conversationa l Urdu lessons for a small group (5-10 students) of youth (ages 16-25). It would be preferable if the lessons can be held in Woodbridge for approximately 1-2 hrs/wk. during the summer months (8-12 weeks) and possibly beyond into the school year if necessary. The youth in this club basically have zero knowledge of Urdu thus beginner lessons are needed. The purpose of these lessons would be to provide 1st generation Canadians with a cultural link to their heritage via language.

I would class myself as a beginner when it comes to speaking Urdu. I would like to have a lesson once a week (1-2hours) in order to develop conversationa l skills.

I speak a little Urdu but all my life I have wanted to learn the language to enjoy its poetry, music and literature.I will spend as much time to it as my teacher advises me to.
