My partner is Swedish and after 2 visits to the country last year and this year we have decided to move there for 2 years starting January 2014. I am trying to learn Bulgarian and Swedish. I am fascinated by both languages, and I am part Bulgarian, and I wish to extensively explore both countries. I have tried a variety of online classes but I haven't had much success, but this year, I have made it my personal goal to attempt to learn them and find a tutor.
I would rate myself as a beginner in both. Ideally, I would like 1-3 tutoring sessions a week, from half an hour to an hour, in person. I am looking for a teacher who is patient, good at explaining, and enthusiastic. I have already been learning Japanese for five years, so I'm well aware of what is involved in learning a language.
