I have had 1 year of formal education in Russian language, but that was several years ago. I would like to increase my proficiency in speaking and reading with an ultimate goal of communicating within an academic setting. I am willing to put in as much time as necessary, but I am looking for in person tutorials about twice per week.

* Beginner
* I have taken a work assignment in Russia for 4 years
* I would think that I need to learn all areas of the Russian language (grammer, conversation, etc)
* I work a 28 day rotation. I will be in Russia for 28 days, 3 to 4 days travel and will be in the states for 24 to 25 days on each rotation. While I am at home I would like to classes twice a week but I need to know if that schedule can be flexible since I will be required to be out of town some of the time when in the US.

I only know the alphabet and a few phrases. I have not been able to comprehend grammar rules through self-teaching ; this puts quite a damper on my desire to become a Russian conversationi st. I hope to learn many languages and am presently majoring in French. Because my school does not offer Russian courses I must look elsewhere. I would like to dedicate a few hours a day/night on weekends. Possibly weekday evenings after 5:30pm, as well. I would benefit most from a detailed lesson plan and guaranteed education.
