I want to learn Polish because my boyfriend and his family are from Poland, and we are going there at the end of the year to get married. I need to be able to communicate with his family, and also this will stop him from having to translate everything said over dinner at his parents house.
I have no experience or education in the Polish language, and need lessons particularly in the basics of the language, grammar, etc to start, then have the ability to move into conversationa l Polish.
I need someone who is patient with me, and really take the time to go through everything, and not rush lessons. I would like to have one or two lessons in the evening after work per week.

I would like to learn Polish because the language is part fo my heritage. My mother is Polish (but born here), and my father is Canadian, so I was braught up with only English in our house. Although my Babcia and Dziadzio spoke polish, and had immigrated, we never were taught more then minor basics. I have a basic understanding of the language (I tend to understand a lot more then I can speak when I am around the language), but a strong understanding of our culture.
I would also like to learn Polish because I work in the social work field, and would love to be able to speak and help Polish clients.
I would like to learn concersationa l Polish.
I was hoping to do an hour lesson once every two weeks, with a ton of homework.

I would like to learn how to speak Polish. I have no prior experience, making me a beginner student. I would like to learn to speak Polish because I am part Polish and many members of my family speak it.
I am not particularly interested in learning the reading/writi ng aspects of the language as I am already taking 3 other languages in school. I would, however, really like to be fluent in the language as soon as possible. Because I am set on learning the language quickly I am willing to put in many hours especially over the coming summer months.
