I am a beginner.
My Grandparents are of Italian decent and immigrated to the US in 1910.
I would like to have conversationa l skills for our upcoming visit to Italy in September 2006.
I work full time, but would like to spend one or two nights a week to the learning process.
I have tried recorded audio instructions and have attended the University of Utah language class, but was unable to dedicate enough time to the class at that time.
I am looking for an instructor that can teach the language and present the proper accent.

Well, I've studied italian for one year in Brasil ( at Istituto Italiano di Cultura)and I wish I could take Italian classes in the USA.
I need to develope all the skills of learning, such as writting, readind ,grammar and specially speaking.
Th e book I was studying was LINEA DIRETTA, by Guerra Edizione. I'd like to keep on with it, if possible1
I prefer to have classes with a native teacher, please.

Well I know a few words in Italian but thats it. I want to learn it becouse I love the history,cultu re,people and , it sounds wonderful. I will be willing to dedicate as much as possible to learning this. I want my teacher to be someone that is patient, I have ADD and that makes it hard some times. Just a awsome teacher that loves what they do. I have always been a honor student and alway have been loved by my teachers and still even today keep in touch. I love History and Theater. I want to teach one day at a high school or college level and , know I would be excellent at it, I love to open mindes to new things.
