I enjoy how the language is spoken with so much passion and I love Italy. I have some Italian friends and I find the language very exciting.
I am a completely new student with no background at all - I've read some books but have not had any lessons.

I have a strong inclination towards more traditional academic languages such as Latin, French and Italian as well as a penchance for literary works in the classical and romantic languages.
Whilst English translations satiate a general curiousity, there is no substitute for the texts of Dumas, Cervantes, Dante and so many other masters than in its natural language with all its nuances and intonations.
