I am interested in learning ancient Greek. I would be interested in individual tuition or a class. The goal of my studies is to be able to read and translate ancient Greek prose.
I would describe myself as a beginner. I studied Greek, briefly, in High School 20 years ago. Last year I started taking a class locally but, unfortunately , the class folded after 8 sessions because of low attendance. I am keen to find another way of continuing the studies which I so briefly began. I work full time (in a completely unrelated field) so lessons would need to be in the evening or at the weekend.

I am a beginner, although I have been to greece and I know some very basis words, etc.
I am learning Greek for several reasons, but mostly I am serious now because I will have children soon and I want them to learn other languages from birth, and my fiance is Greek, we both need to practice and speak so that we can talk with his relatives and grandparents in the US and Greece!
I love the language and I want to talk to people I love, and pass the language on.

Hi,
My family is from Greece but my father was first generation and did not want his children to learn Greek. It is now time to cure that mistake. I am looking for a tutor or class to begin learning the Greek language. I am looking for classes oe sessions held once or twice a week studing both verbal and written aspects. My schedule is open to days and evenings but travel is limited to the city of Chicago. Suburban travel is just too time consuming.
