Hello,
I am looking to visit Germany, once it's safe to do so due to COVID, and I would like to know enough to get by. Also, I am just fascinated with this language. My goal is learn enough to make small talk, ask for directions, and probably read a menu for my trip. However, aside from my trip, I am interested in diving deeper into German and learn history, etc. I am Mexican-Ameri can. My first language is Spanish, English being my second. I would love to be trilingual.

My son is in Hamburg and a citizen. I want to get German citizenship and there is an interview for oral zoom testing with the Embassy for 15 minutes in lieu of a full test associated with the application.
I am 73 and somewhere in the a2 Deutsch level based on a recent online test. I am looking for speaking and listening proficiency to pass this March 9th 15-minute

My son lives in Hamburg Germany and he is a citizen. He wants me to apply for citizenship and I need to meet online with the German Embassy for a 15-minute oral assessment in lieu of a Goethe Standardized Test. This is scheduled for March 9th and I am roughly at the a2 level based on a recent online test assessment.
I am taking a German test but it is very slow and we have not covered the future tense on certain other necessary german language topics.

I wanted to learn a language that was similar to English but different than French, Spanish, etc. I have tried to learn them and I end up getting Spanish confused with French, so I decided to try German. I am an ABSOLUTE beginner in German. I am just trying to learn how to pronounce certain letters/words /vowels. I know very little vocabulary at the moment. I want to dedicate at least 30 minutes to an hour for each lesson. I want to learn in a more natural environment, less grammar drills and vocab drills. I want to speak (or try to) mainly in German. I've tried the memorize and recite technique and it hasn't worked for me. I want to try acquiring the language in a more natural and organic method (if that makes sense). I am shy, so someone who is patient and kind would be great. Someone who understands that I want to learn but can be shy until I get more comfortable. Thank you.
