I have always been interested in learning foreign languages to widen my horizon as well as to communicate better with people from different cultures. I chose German because Germany is in a way similar to Japan and because of that I have been feeling a sense of closeness to the country.
I actually studied German at university for a few years, but after graduation I stopped learning it and forgot most of it because I had to prioritize other things over it. So I am still at the elementary level.
I am thinking of having 1-1.5 hour one-on-one lessons via Skype etc. once or twice a week regularly during the day (10 a.m.-6 p.m. Japan time) to improve my conversationa l skill.
I have a wife and my job is to translate English technical documents into Japanese.
Someone who is serious and supportive would be much appreciated. Basically, I would like my teacher to speak only German during the lesson.
