i will be in china from september 2004 till june 2005 and i d like to learn czech, because first my wife is czech and then because i would like to work in czech republic
i m a real beginner, but i m hard worker and i m ready to take as many lessons as it would require, i need all the basics to be able to speak in an ordinary converstation and the financial background required for the job position i wish to apply.
the teacher should be...teacher, and ready to push my limits!!
i could afford stg like 2h a day everyday and more during the weekend
the teaching lessons could be in english or french

I am a beginner as I only know a few words of Czech.
The reason I want to learn to speak Czech is that my girlfriend is Czech and I would like to be able to speak to her in her native tongue.
I need improvement in all areas.
I will dedicate as much time as needed however I do have responsibilit ies here which must come first so the hours of the day are somewhat limited. I am busy Monday thru Friday from 7:00 am to 8:00 am and 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm taking my next door neighbors grand daughter to and from the school bus stop. I am also busy Monday thru Friday 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm feeding my mother and taking her to and from work. I am also busy Monday thru Friday 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm fixing dinner for my mother and myself.
Th e qualities I am looking for is someone who is patient and will explain things to me so that I do understand them. I would like to be able to know enough to hold a some what intelligent conversation with my girlfriend in her native Czech language as she does speak some English but there are many things that I say to her that she does not understand and it would be much easier if I could explain them to her in Czech.

I do not speak any Czech... But I want to do my master's degree in fine art at VUT in Brno, and I want to do it all in Czech.
I need a lot of help I guess.
I think the main thing I can think of that would help me is to read a lot and have some help on that end (I've taught people french by having them read the poemes of Jacques Prévert)... also with pronounciatio n... and whatever you don't get from musing in a dictionary and a collection of books.
If possible I would like to perform a trade. Either a language trade (my first language is French) or another sort of trade... I've done some web stuff, do a lot of video and sound work. I would rather do a trade, but I would also be happy to pay.
