I really want to learn Cantonese and have done for the past year as I work with Cantonese speaking co-workers/fr iends, I would love to be able to communicate with all of my co-workers, it would also make work a lot easier! I'm in the process of saving to do my TEFL course as I plan to go to China and teach English so being able to communicate when I go over their would be amazing. I have never had lessons before so would be at beginner level but by the end of my lessons, hope to be able to hold a conversation fluently, thank you for taking the time to read my ad.

My proficiency level is very basic Cantonese. I wish to increase my proficiency level in an intensive 3 week period, just conversation. I will be in KL from the 22nd of Dec 2011 to the 8th of January 2012.
I would like to have a lesson everyday, and weekends are also possible. At least 2-4 hours a day.
I don't need to learn how to write, written grammar etc, mainly interested in being able to converse and speak Cantonese as I will be working in Hong Kong more often.

My proficiency level is complete beginner.
I am a frequent visitor to Hong Kong.I also used to live there when I was serving in the Army.I now feel I should be making more of an effort to converse with Chinese people in their own language.
I think conversation would be a good place to start and would dedicate as much time as was required.
th e qualities I would be looking for in my teacher would be,good communication and a relaxed and friendly manner.I think I would be slightly nervous at first as I have never attempted to learn a new language before.My friends think I am mad to be learning Chinese as they think it would be too difficult.
