I'm currently attending in a college. I love reading and writing in English, but need to speak English fluently. would like to make an American friend who would share some conversations with me three or four times a week. Salamu, I am a young African living in American who wishes to recapture part of my culture heritage. My first step in this long, but meaningful journey has been taken, with me selecting Swahili as the first language i wish to learn.
I have already starting studing on my own with a book/cd series called Teach yourself. Currently i am a novice/beginn er who wishes to master the language in its entirety.
I would prefer teacher who is a native speaker of african orgin. Someone who has a working knowledge of the customes and cultrue of eastern Africa.
