Hello, we are looking for a German tutor for our 5 year old daughter. She has learned a good bit of vocabulary so far (with a previous tutor) but is not conversationa l yet. We prefer someone who is used to working with Children, can keep it fun but still facilitate learning, is patient and has a proven teaching style. We have some materials and German books but can purchase more if necessary. It would be great if the tutor had materials to bring as well. She will not be in school over the summer so times starting June 1 are very flexible. When school starts she would be available after 3:15pm depending on the day. For her age we think an hour to an hour and a half is probably best. She is a very intelligent, sweet, little girl and according to previous teachers she is a pleasure to work with. She LOVES to learn and is excited about German. Her father and grandparents are German and can practice with her once she has a good 'base'. I am an educational consultant for a family who just moved from Vienna to Denver, Colorado. I am looking for a native German speaker (high german, they tell me) to work with their son to keep up his writing, reading and speaking skills in German while he studies here in CO. He is still in elementary school, however is fluent in a number of languages as are both parents. They would prefer one on one work including assignments of German literature to read, in person.

I am looking for a German (native) teacher. I would like to learn German because my ancestors were German, I would like to travel to Germany, and I enjoy learning languages. I only know a few words in German, so I am a beginner. English is my native language and I also speak French, which is getting rusty from lack of practice. I will devote a few hours a week to class and homework to learn German. I am looking for a teacher who is patient, fun, and enthusiastic. I know grammar is important, but I would like to spend more time building vocabulary and speaking rather than conjugating verbs. I was first exposed to French through immersion and I found that to be a good, albeit challenging, learning method. I am open to private lessons or small groups and cost is a key factor for me as well.
