I'm interested in learning the Spanish language for career advancement as well as for the interest in the language and culture. I'm aiming to begin at the basic level and would dedicate about 1 hr 2-3 times in a week and about 2 hrs over the weekend (Saturdays mostly).
I'm looking for a tutor who ideally is a native Spanish speaker who is patient :-)and flexible (willing to assist/teach in person, over the phone, on email etc) and who has excellent skills in languages (predominantl y Spanish and English primarily for conversationa l purposes).

I want to learn Spanish simply because I find it interesting and I have always wanted to learn as many languages as my time will allow plus it might be useful in future, who knows. I would consider myself a very green beginner. I am willing to dedicate as much time as I can but this will vary from time to time depending on work - possibly an hour or two a day. I am looking for a teacher with a deep understanding of the Spanish culture and cultural references for a better quality experience with the language.

I want to learn both Spanish and French. I am thinking of my future, that is, beyond my current job and believe I can work towards translation and intepretation , either of documents or conversation. This is my goal.
I did take Spanish lessons back in 1994 and have not really used it much, though I can understand meaning of certain words, when spoken slowly. Therefore making my level as beginner.
I did study French in Primary School, first two years in Secondary School and took it up again in 1995. Again, this has gone rusty due to lack of practice even though, just like Spanish I can understand meaning of certain words, when spoken slowly. So, my level is beginner.
Areas of improvement would be both grammar and conversation, leading to perfected translation/i nterpretation, etc.
In terms of time. I would have to discuss this with my teacher to find something comfortable for both of us.
A goal-oriented teacher who will push me (in a nice way) to succeed in this journey in the shortest time possible.
