Howdy,
My name is Samuel Mazur, I am an American originally from Texas now living on the East coast. in August of next month, give or take a year or two I will be moving to Yokosuka and I am looking for someone who can provide beginer level instruction in everyday Japanese. My schedule is somewhat unsual, so I am looking for someone fairly flexible. Someone from Yokosuka or Tokyo would be preferable as that is about as far as I would be able to travel.
If you are in instructor who only works with groups, I would prefer a small group. No more than 2-4 and if necessary and you seem like the right teacher for me I could find another person or two who would also be interested in taking lessons with me.

I am a high beginner in Japanese. I have taken a formal language course but would like to learn more. I can read most hiragana but only a few kanji (no katakana yet). At work I help Japanese speakers and would like to learn more Japanese to be able to help them better. I need to improve my understanding and use of spoken/conver sational Japanese. I would like to study on a weekly or biweekly basis for 2 hours. I have a lot of experience in studying foreign languages (I also speak French and Spanish and some Sign Language). I would like a teacher who has a lot of experience in giving grammar and conversationa l lessons. It would be best if the teacher is able to provide a variety of lessons that will help me on my job. I would prefer a female teacher.
