I have known Punjabi ever since childhood. However, since I also knew how to speak English, I hardly ever used Punjabi and my proficiency in the language slowly deteriorated. I know enough of the language to say basic phrases but I have trouble understanding the meanings when listening to Punjabi music, dramas, or movies. Also, sometimes when relatives come over and they use more complex language, I just sort of nod my head and agree with whatever they're saying but usually I'm clueless.
Things that I need improvement in are grammar and vocabulary. I often have trouble using the right tense of a word when forming a sentence. Also, I sometimes have trouble recognizing words if they are said in a different way (for example in punjabi songs, where the singers sometimes speed up the words or say them in a different way). I would like to expand my vocabulary so that I can always find the right word when speaking with someone in Punjabi, instead of having to use the English equivalent in its place.
I'd like to spend about 2 hours a week learning the language. Preferably one 2-hour lesson. But it could be two 1-hour lessons if the instructor finds it more appropriate.
I would like it if my teacher was around my own age (23) and if we had some similar interests such as music (hiphop, rnb, bhangra, hindi), dancing/clubb ing, comedy and pretty much just having fun.

Iam looking for a good teacher not just someone who can speak Punjabi and will try to teach.
Iam going to marry my Punjabi Girlfriend so speaking punjabi will be good for me.
I would like to learn as fast as possible so I will spend whatever time I can maybe 5 hours a week.
