I am an avid and enthusiastic language learner. The professional, personal, cultural, social, spiritual, and physiological benefits of proper language study are incommensurab le. I am a bilingual English/Spani sh native speaker, as well as an autodidact with intermediate- level proficiency in French, German, and Portuguese. My goal is full-working proficiency in those three languages within the next 18 months.
Ho wever the pinnacle of my personal language project is to learn the Chinese language (oral and written). I am cognizant this is a long-term, intensive goal which requires and will demand much personal commitment, zealous dedication, a positive attitude, and meticulous concern for all facets of the learning experience. I am seeking a teacher, guide, and friend who recognizes this fervent drive and eager spirit, and will not only push me harder than I could ever push myself, but also give a little extra of him/herself to further advance me toward this end.
