I'm a complete beginner, and am wanting to learn because my boyfriend is Indian, and I need to know Gujarati as part of adopting his culture. It's important to him, and basically a prerequisite to marriage, so I'm serious about learning.
Ideally, I'd like to become proficient in speaking, reading, and writing Gujarati, but I'd be happy to be able to hold a conversation with someone and not sound silly.
My Gujarati teacher can be anyone who speaks it fluently, I have no other preferences. As for how much time I can devote to this, it would depend on the tutor's schedule of course, but I'd like to spend at least a few hours per week with a tutor, as well as practicing on my own.
I'm open to learning online or in person.
