I'm learning the language because my wife is Indian and speaks Urdu and would like to be able to communicate with her family better. I have absolute no knowledge of Urdu and will definitely be a beginner. I have alot of available time in the evening so 1-3 meetings per week will be my preference. I would like the teacher to be able to answer my questions when needed and to be knowledgeable enough to not just speak it, but be able to systematicall y teach it to someone who has no previous knowledge of any of the Indian languages.

I'm Pakistani, I was raised in Canada, so I am not that strong in Urdu. I can understand it almost perfectly though. I want to speak Urdu perfectly to make my parents and my grandmother happy because they always speak to me in Urdu and I always reply back in English.
I am willing to dedicate a few hours every week to improving my Urdu so I can carry on conversations with my parents without having to speak English.
I am looking for someone who is patient and can speak excellent English and Urdu and who can obvioulsy teach well.
