I'm want to be conversant in the French language. I've had the usual Canadian public school exposure to French but 'parle juste un petit peu' as they say. I need improvement in all areas: speaking, comprehension , etc.

I want to learn french for both professional and personal reasons; it is a requirment if I want to advance in my career and my boyfriend is Francophone.
I am between beginner and intermediate.
I generally need improvement in all areas but grammer, conversation and vocabulary are 3 areas in which I need particular improvement.
I would like to have 2, one on one sessions per week, for 2 hours each session.
I would like a teacher who is well organized, can help me create a learning plan and who will hold me to account about doing my homework. Generally, I would like my lessons to start with theory/gramme r etc., an excercise that will reinforce what I just learned and then conversation to practice oral and improve confidence.

I would like to improve my french for work reasons.
I am an intermediate/ advance student that requires grammar review but mainly would like to focus on oral communication .

Living in Ottawa, bilingualism in French and English is required for most government and public service careers, and it is very useful for many jobs in the private sector as well. I know very little French, written or oral, but I'm interested in being able to communicate, roughly at least, in French and be able to write well enough so that I can pass a bilingualism test (if need be). I am flexible on hours and days. I only request that the teacher be friendly and patient, as I am myself a friendly and patient person.
