I have intermediate- advanced knowledge of spanish but want to improve fluency, especially conversationa lly. I also want to continue to build vocabulary for working overseas in a Spanish speaking country. I'm looking for a private tutor to study a couple hours a week. Che! Aviso a los Argentinos... I just came back from Argentina on my fourth trip.. I love the country and hope this can be a cultural learning experience as well...I am specifically looking for an Argentine native to practice conversation and improve generally... I will consider un profesora from Latin America if I can't find someone from Argentina. I am probably 'functional' in Spanish at present. I read a bit but could use tons of work on conversation. I am a professional, new to Ottawa and live centrally around the Byward Market. I am flexible with format... but public settings like coffee shops, etc..., sound more fun. I am thinking probably a couple of hours/week would work. Weekends and evenings.

I want to travel in Colombia and possibly Ecuador because I have family living in these locations. I have studied at Mount Royal college (University0 to a level 9 proficiency with a special group and have traveled many times to Spanish speaking countries. I lack vocabulary but have reasonably firm grasp of grammatical concepts.I have a rather odd linguistic 'impairment' in that I speak better than I understand, which is not to say that i don't make many mistakes when I'm speaking.
Depending on the cost I am prepared to have one or two X 1 hour lessons per week. I would also be prepared to join a group if there were no more than 3 students
