I have always wanted to learn a language. I have trouble learning a language from online courses and by books, so I am looking for a teacher to meet in person to learn a language. Russian has always sounded nice to me, and I am hoping to learn it. I am an absolute beginner- I don't know anything at all in Russian! :) I really would like to learn conversationa l Russian. I haven't decided how much time I would be able to dedicate to my language classes, but I will try to take as much time as needed. I am looking for an instructor that is very familiar with the language, and can help me learn to have a conversation in Russian. :)

I am very much interested in the continuation of my studies in russian language. I studied in st.pete a few years agon. My goal is to reach a proficient level of speaking and reading. I can dedicate hours to the studies on my own and possibly dedicate travel near philadelphia for class. I learn best from books and conversation. Practical approaches to understanding the depth and nuances of this language are exciting. And i am interested in teaching my native english to russian children in Russia.

My son and daughter-in-l aw live in St. Petersburg Russia. We visited Russia and enjoyed our visit. It would be nice if I and my wife can learn to speak conversationa l Russian and be able to pick up a newspaper and make some since of it.
We do not know the language.
I and my wife will be taking the courses together. There is no particular time frame, but it would be nice when we visit Russia again in two years we will be able to get around the airport, museums and shopping areas with ease.
What we look for is patience in our teacher. We are both very busy and have our professions. However we understand that there has to be a degree of accomplishmen t and dedicated study. It would be nice for the teacher to reflect on Russia's customs and history, also.

I am learning Russian as a major component of my Bachelor's degree and future career ambitions. I hope and plan to work in some capacity in Russia, connected with Russia as well as the Far East in the next 5 years.
My proficiency level is intermediate, with my strength being in conversationa l Russian. I am severely lacking in a formal style of speaking and need help with grammar and building my active and passive vocabulary around speaking confidently about concepts in business, government, the legal world.
I am willing to devote with my tutor 1 hour per day, up to 3 days per week to reach my goals, I currently study at a university, so some of my questions and lesson direction may be influenced by what I am trying to master in class.
I am looking for a firm but patient teacher, hopefully someone who is familiar with teaching foreigners, but someone who is willing to help the learning process without the aid of English.

I travel to the Ukraine about 3 times a year and would love to visit Russia as well. My Great grandfather immigrated from Russia and the last relative in our family that spoke Russian was my grandfather. I am very interested in learning conversationa l Russian.
