I have no experience with the language. I want to learn a little Thai because I am traveleing to Thailand in Decemeber. I need to start from the beginning in learning the language. Hello I am a beginner with the Thai language. I just spent 2 months in Thailand for the first time and really enjoyed it. The country is beautiful and I loved the culture, food, and people. I plan to be returning next year and would like my conversationa l skills to be better. I have about 9 months before I go back. One the qualities in a teacher I would be looking for would be patience. I tried learning some of the language on my own but it was a very slow process. I am motivated to learn and with some instruction I am sure I can do better.

Hello,
I lived in Suratthani, Thailand for one year from 1996-1997 as an exchange student. When I left, I was conversant in Thai and was beginning to learn to read and write. I will be returning to Thailand for three weeks in May for my host sister's wedding, and I would like to refresh my conversationa l skills before I return. I am interested in spending 1-2 hours per week in lessons, probably beginning in February 2009. It would be helpful if my teacher could provide me with exercises so that I could practice outside of the lessons.
