I am a German language begginer with a little self study, but for the most part entirely new. I would like to learn German because learing languages is both exciting and rewarding. I've been to several countries and picked up a little from each, but would really like to become proficient at one or more, starting with German. I am a beginner. I am learning the language as preparation for travel and international buissiness. I am learning hungarian from scratch, and I need to brush up on my German conversation, grammer, and vocabullary. I would like to spend one to two days a week. I am very much a beginner with this language. I had one semester at a Community College, but the instructor spent more time talking about his travels than learning the language.
I am interested in learning this language for two reasons: 1. I am 100% German and would like to learn the language so that I may travel there.
2. Language proficiency is a requirement to complete my PhD. and I would like to work with German so that I can read some of the text in the original language.
