I am very interested in developing my Magyarul because my nagyapa is the last one of the family in Canada to speak it and I would like to keep it in the family to one day pass on to my children. Also, I have a great interest in traveling to Hungary to trace my roots, and meet family members that I have only seen in photos (and who don't know any English).
Currently , I only have some rudimentary knowledge (basic words, phrases etc. that I have gotten from books and CDs), but I want to become more fluent in conversationa l Magyarul so that I may converse properly and at a normal rate. I am able to pick up some words and concepts when I hear others speaking, but cannot yet respond or form complex sentences.
I am looking to take lessons in a one-on-one or possibly small (3-4 people) class, about once a week at this point. Money is an issue right now, so I cannot afford more frequent lessons. I want to learn from other people whose mother tongue is Hungarian, and who can focus my learning on conversation and reading skills.

Hello,
My husband is a Hungarian national and I would like to learn the language. I have taken a few classes while living abroad and will like to continue my studies (grammar, conversationa l Hungarian).
Depending on my work schedule, I am willing to put in 2 days a week for lessons. I am starting at a very basic level with learning general words, colors, numbers, greetings, etc.
I would like a teacher who is a native Hungarian and willing to help me understand the Hungarian language.

I am looking to take Hungarian with my 11 year old daughter. I was raised to speak Hungarian as my first language, but once I started school, we only spoke English. My daughter want's to learn her heritage language and want's to be able to communicate with me conversationa lly. I would say I am probably above beginner level, my daughter is beginner.

I'm a beginner. My mum is Hungarian (although she hasn't spoken it for many years and isn't comfortable teaching it) and I would like to move there next summer. I have family in Budapest and have visited a few times and would like to communicate with them as they don't speak English.

I would like to learn Hungarian in order to communicate with my partner and her family, when visiting Hungary and general communication via the telephone. I do know some words,basics, like please, thank you and can i have the bill etc. My partner is off travelling for three months and I meet up with her again in February 2010 where i would like to be a little more fluent. I would like my learning of the Language to be a continuous proccess and can dedicate maybe 3 hours a week on a one to one basis. I am looking for a teacher who will communicate with memorable,ent ertaining and thorough method and I would like to start as soon as possible.
