I have always loved German.
It's a beautiful language, and I am thinking about relocating to Europe soon.
I'm at the intermediate level right now. I understand more grammar than I can speak, so I am desperate for interaction with a German speaker.
Fir st I would like to start with one lesson per week (because that's all the time I have). I watch German TV and listen to children's audio books whenever I have the chance.
I want a teacher who is patient with me and not afraid to correct me to my face. I would also appreciate a teacher who gives suggestions without flinching and DEMANDS that I do the homework. (I need assignments!! !) I work well under that kind of pressure:)
A lso, a teacher who is willing to break the mold. In whatever way (within reason).

-I wish to learn German as a second language. My family moved here from the U.S. in 2010 with every intention of making Switzerland our permanent home. Being able to speak the native language is an integral part of making that a reality.
-I have some very basic knowledge, but am hoping to expand my vocabulary and learn proper German grammar.
-I am interested in intensive lessons, several mornings per week.
-My ideal teacher would be one who is personable, willing to tailor a program to my abilities and learning schedule, and can keep me interested and challenged enough to want to study!
