I am so much a beginner it's embarrassing. The reason I'd like to learn is because I have become interested in the bible codes. I have joined an online group to do research, but unfortunately , need to know the language written and spoken to know what I'm doing. I will do a few hours a week. I am not working at the moment so I can work around your schedule. I need a teacher who is patient, able to be honest but careful with my feelings. I am 50 years old and the idea of learning a whole new language is overwhelming. So, I need to have it explained, possibly over and over. Which of course is my problem, but I don't want it to be a problem for the teacher.

Hello,
I am interested in learning Hebrew and/or Spanish. I would be a beginner in both languages. I would like to learn Hebrew because my significant other is half Israeli and by learning Hebrew, I feel I would learn more about his background and his culture. By learning Spanish, I feel it may advance my career, or at least add to my skills; and as I become friends with more Spanish-speak ing people, this will give us a commonality.
At this point, I am still unsure if I will take lessons as cost is a consideration , as well as flexibility of schedules. Right now I would be available 2-3 mornings a week, however that may change since I am searching for a full-time day position. Cost, again, may affect availability. I am also looking for teachers whose native languages are Hebrew and Spanish, respectively. I indicated that I would like lessons both in person and online. Any lessons apart from in person I would prefer to limit to e-mail or telephone. Thank you in advance for any responses.

i don't know my proficiency, I know the alep-baht, i can read hebrew, presently I am using Everyday Hebrew. I can write in 'cotav' and I can use the dictionary to look up roots of words to find meanings.
I want to learn hebrew and french, so I can be fluent in more than one language, and these two are the prettiest and most useful in my life.
Buil ding blocks!!!!!!! !! Pa-al, Ne-phal etc. I am tired of only being able to communicate in present tense, dialogue(hear ing)
Actual instruction- (ultimate desire 4 hours a week), actual time will be based on cost.

I am not quiet a beginner in Hebrew. I purchased a text book from Jerusalem, and have taken myself through lesson 16. At this point in my studies, I feel that I need a teacher to have more accountablity to study.
I am learning the language because I love to travel in Israel, and I have many Israeli friends. I want the personal satifaction of communicating with them in their native language.
I would like to have two to three-hour lessons, once or twice per week. I am willing to travel into the Chicago area for lessons, if necessary.
My preference would be that the teacher is a native speaker, so that I can learn the proper accent.
