I am hoping to find a teacher who can help me learn Russian. I am a complete beginner, I have just been trying to learn a little from books. I would like to learn the language as I hope to travel to Russia next year and have always had a strong interest in the country and language. I am a beginner and am planning to travel to Belarus in 2007. I am mainly interested in learning conversationa l and survival language skills. My father's family comes from Belarus and I am hoping to visit them as part of larger travel plans. I would prefer to have lessons on a weekly basis of about 1 hour but will be guided by the teacher's recommendatio ns. I would prefer my teacher to be a native speaker who is patient with my learning the nuances of pronunciation and endings, etc.
