Our daughter learned German while I worked on a project in Dresden. She is 7 1/2 years old. She had been taking lessons at the German Language Center and also at the Saturday German School here. But due to schedule conflicts she will not be attending.
We are looking for a private tutor who can help her work on her language speaking and reading.

I am currently learning German with Rosetta Stone and have completed level 1 and 2. I am planning a trip to Munich in a few weeks, as well as moving there next year. I would like to freshen up my german conversationa l skills. I believe it would be helpful in my career as an actuary and computer programmer with a multi-nationa l company. I started taking german classes when I was in 6th grade and continued all the way through high school. I was taught Hochdeutsche Dialekte in school and then when I was a Junior in High School I learned some Schwäbisch when I lived with a family in Ravensburg in southern Germany. I was somewhat fluent at the time in basic conversationa l german. I also tested out of 8 credits at Drake University. Unfortunately I have not used it since. I can understand others if they speak slow enough, but I have a hard time remembering enough vocabulary to speak it myself. I have done some translation in both German and Dutch on the job, but it is time consuming and I need a dictionary to help get me through. I would like to become fluent again at the very least.
