I am a complete beginner and have never studied a foreign language. I wish to learn to speak Vietnamese as I do business in Vietnam and have a strong interest in Vietnamese culture.
I n my language studies I would like to initially concentrate on conversation and grammar skills. I would be pleased if I could converse on a social and business level as quickly as possible, paying attention to more formal studies as time progressed.
I will dedicate as much time as necessary to learning in order to achieve my goal quickly.
I would prefer a teacher who is a resident of Vietnam and is willing to exchange more than simply language lessons, I would like to discuss culture, business, local cuisine, everything.

I am looking to continue studies in mandarin, I learned for 5years while living in Singapore. I am 15 yrs old at the moment and have not had much practice since I moved back to Australia 2years ago, so i would say I am at intermediate level proficiency. I pretty much just need someone to jog my memory and also teach me some of the more practical words and phrases I didnt learn in my primary education.
I am also going on a trip with my school to Vietnam later in the year and would love to be able to speak some of the language, just general words I will need for shopping or travels.
I am willing to commit to one lesson, lasting around an hour, per language per week. I am happy to learn in my home or somewhere such as a library (preferably in the southern suburbs) or the teacher's office. I pay in cash only.

I am currently learning Vietnamese.
I would say I am at a beginner level. I need a lot inprovement in conversation. Basically I need someone to practice with and extend my vocabulary. I would like to spend at least 2 nights a week doing this. My lessons are currently on a Wednesday and Sunday so any other days would be fine.

I am a beginner although I know a few words. I want to learn to speak Vietnamese as I am going back to Danang in June/July to teach English to children 6-12 years in an orphanage. I was there in August last year and found it very frustrating that I was unable to speak/underst and the children.
I am willing to spend as much time as is necessary to learn as much as possible by June and am looking for a patient teacher with a good sense of humour so we can both laugh at my mistakes!
