I am an intermediate Khmer speaker seaking private face-to-face instruction in Phnom Penh.
I am learning the language because I am an English speaker who will soon take up my work in Cambodia.
I need improvement in conversation and always want to advance in key areas of economics, business, and general subjects. Some specialized vocabulary in the law and in science/agric ulture would help, too.
Time dedicated: Between 15-20 hours per week for up to six weeks.
Tea cher should be good English speaker but mainly an excellent Khmer speaker with linguistic/la nguage teaching experience.

I am just starting to learn Khmer via books and Cd Roms, but I would love a helping hand. I am learning Khmer because I just got back from Cambodia and am very interested in the language, the culture and the people. I would like to return to Cambodia one day as an aid worker or something similar. I am willing to dedicate 2-3 hrs a week on Khmer lessons and I am also more than happy to travel. The qualities I am looking for are patience and also basic English skills.
