My son is seven and we want him to learn the launguage, just not fluent speaking but to read and write. This will come in hand when goes to his country. It is a benefit for him later in time.
I speak the launguage in the home, but with English used commonly, my son needs to be taught the correct way.

I wish to learn to speak Gujarati. I travel to Ahmedabad, and on to Bhuj several times a year, I visited initially because of my interest in textiles and costume, and from this I have developed strong friendships with some really great people, many who have good English language skills. I have enjoyed many rewarding and enjoyable exchanges with non english speakers there also, and I would really like to be able to develop and contribute more to these situations. I consider it likely that I will want to do business there eventually, and this would make knowledge of the local language extremely important, as the people I would need to communicate ideas with are likely to have a basic education at best, and very likely no English. I realize that in the region I visit the Kutchh language is also widely spoken, however feel that Gujarati would be a good place to start. I have just returned from my fourth trip there and am making plans to go again in May. I would like to devote a considerable amount of time to language study on this visit, and would love to get a head start before I go.

I am learning Gujarati in order to converse with my family in India.
I am a complete beginner - and have no base language skills in Gujarati, so I am a complete beginner.
I would like to commit 1-2 hours per week; but this depends on my travel plans. I travel quite a bit to work within Europe.
I need someone patient; as I'm not a natural leanrner of languages - but i really want to be able to talk to my family in India!

I would like to re-acquaint my self with my original mother tongue. I’m from a Gujarati speaking family, however throughout the years I have become less and less efficient in speaking due to my family being adapt over the English language. I feel that I’m adequate at understanding the language to a sufficient degree, however I’m unable to effectively converse back with other Gujarati speakers in basic conversation.
I’m currently working so I would like a teacher whom is able to teach after normal working hours and is patient enough to raise my standard of language up to sustain a basic conversation level.
