I would like to learn Spanish for several reasons. First of all, I have many Spanish-speak ing friends and family members. Secondly, I travel frequently to different places around the world and would definitely benefit from knowing Spanish when traveling to countries where Spanish is spoken. In about a year I will be moving back to the US where Spanish is the second most common language after English.
I have a very very basic knowledge of the language and after spending one month in Spain this summer could hold a rudimentary conversation about basic topics. I am, however, a fast learner and would prefer to start an intermediate level course than a beginner level course.
I am willing to dedicate 10-12 hours a week to learning, including homework and out-of-class learning time.
I would appreciate a teacher who is flexible and if I am learning in a classroom I would appreciate a smaller class size for more personal interaction.
