I studied Spanish about 8 years ago in the UK, so have a basic knowledge, but have not used it since so have forgotten alot. I'm not confident to have a conversation with a Spanish speaker. I have many South American friends in Riyadh and want to be able to understand them and talk to them in their language.
I would like to have two lessons per week, each of 1.5-2 hours if possible. Ideally one morning and one afternoon. I would prefer to go to a classroom or home rather than have the teacher come to my home. I don't mind one to one or group class.
I would like the teacher to have had some training in teaching a foreign language.
I need a teacher who can help me to converse in Spanish - my last teacher only really encouraged read and written Spanish, so I have never had the confidence to speak.

In the Fall of 2013, I will be going to Spain and walking the Camino De Santiago. Since I will be traveling alone, I would like to be somewhat fluent in Spanish. I am a beginner and have not taken any spanish lessons nor am I fluent in any other language. I can put in up to several hours a day into learning the language if necessary.
I am looking for a teacher who has the teaching experience with this subject matter and will have the patience to work with me through my frustrations as I find some of the words in Spanish difficult to pronounce.
Furthermore, it would be nice if the teacher also was fluent in French as that will be the next language I would like to learn after returning from my trip to Spain.
