I am interested in learning Hungarian due to my involvement in a partner church in Transylvania. I traveled recently to Hungary and Romania and stayed with a host family whose native language is Hungarian in Transylvania. I expect to return every so often and would like to learn more Hungarian to better communicate with people I have made contact with.
I am definitely a beginning although I have been involved in self-study for a few months this summer. I need assistance forming sentences, learning grammar, conversation, - everything. I would be interested in a class once a week if I could arrange it. I am looking for a teacher who is a native Hungarian speaker but who is also fluent in English and who communicates well and is flexible in how the tutoring would be designed.

I bought the 501 Italian Verbs book, because I already speak fluent Spanish at an extremely high level and since Italian and Spanis are so similar I decide I would teach myself, but I have no one to practice with or to judge my skill level. I would prefer to have a native teacher, who could help me learn some basic grammar, idiomatic dialect and allow me to speak Italian, at level comparable with my fluent Spanish. I would like to take maybe 2 1-3 hour lessons per month, at a price around $20-35, with some assigned materials so I can progress in a principally self-guided manner. At this point I would put myself in the novice level,with most of my skills coming from my knowledge of Spanish, and so I am not a complete beginner

I would like to learn 'amharic' because I find it to be a beautiful language with a long history. I love the Ethiopian culture and am impressed because it is a royal language of Africa. I am almost a beginner. However I can read the language. I have taught myself how to read it by studying books. I would like to practice learning the grammar and be able to hold a conversation. I would like an Ethiopian teacher.
