I'd like to learn Hindi because I'm interested in learning a whole new language that doesn't resemble any other, and also because I feel like with India's growing influence in the world, it might quickly become a useful language to know.
I've never studied Hindi before, I'm a complete beginner.
I can dedicate 3 to 5 hours per week to lessons.

I would like to learn Hindi to be able to converse with my family and on trips to India. I am a beginner but have had a two years of schooling in college. I would like to work on vocabulary and sentence structure. My sister is a complete beginner and would need to start from scratch. Would like to schedule lessons approximately once a week. I wish to learn Hindi to travel to India before I enter into medical school. I have never taken Hindi before. I would dedicate a lot of time (example: my GPA is 3.91 at UIC which is only 2 B's in my freshman semester).
I am looking for a teacher who is organized, understands how to teach, and is willing to put forth the effort to help me learn and speak Hindi.

I'm interested in learning Hindi for a couple reasons. I have family living in India and it would make it much easier to get around if I became fluent in Hindi. Additionally, I would like to learn Hindi for career advancement with the hopes that I could possibly live or travel often to India.
I would say that my level is a beginner to intermediate. I've never learned Hindi formally and my family in India does not speak it but I have been exposed to the language since I was a toddler. I've also taken an interest in Hindi movies lately which has fooled many people into believing that I can actually speak Hindi since I seem to understand much of what they are saying. But alas Hindi movies alone won't do it so I would like to learn with an actual tutor.
I would mostly like to learn to converse properly. Besides the correct pronunciation of the alphabet, reading is something I feel confident I can learn on my own since it is quite phonetic.
I would like to meet 1-2 times a week for 1-2 hours.
I'm looking for a teacher that can explain grammar well and is good at encouraging conversation. I've always taken to languages quite easily and I'm usually quite good with pronunciation but I tend to shy away from speaking if I cannot remember the grammar properly. So I will need a tutor who is friendly and not too intimidating. Additionally, to get the most out of the lessons I'd like to focus on conversation and would need a teacher that is comfortable with using transliterati on.
I don't have too much of a preference for where we meet. My house or yours or a public place that meets in the middle.
Since I'm just starting out professionall y I cannot afford to pay very much but I am very dedicated to learning Hindi and I'm a student that always honors her commitments.

I am very interested in learning Hindi, the Indian culture has fascinated me for many years now and I plan on venturing to India as soon as I graduate college. I do not know any Hindi so I would be starting off with a clean slate. I wish to dedicate three hours per week with a tutor and numerous hours on my own. I do prefer that my teacher is patient, open-minded, and dedicated in helping me learn Hindi.
